FUNCTIONAL ROLE OF LAB
Our Ductile Iron and Grey Iron modern Foundry has a fully equipped and modified cum updated laboratory with strict quality control at every stage from incoming raw material to finished product.
It can undertake the manufacturing facility of Ductile iron material grade SG 350/22,420/5,500/7,550/6, 400/15, 450/12, 400/10, 400/18, 400/18L, 600/3, 600/10, 700/2 and Gray iron casting material grade FG-150, FG-200, FG-220, FG-225, FG-250, FG -260, FG-300, FG-350 & FCD 250
The Lab carries
A. Inspection/checking/Collection of incoming raw material of all types , related to foundry industry.
B. Spectroscopic analysis of metal by conventional method in our NABL accredited lab with ARL 3460 optical emission spectrometer (2 nos.) for both bath and final metal sample. Sample polishing machine – 2 nos.
C. Chemical/Wet analysis of raw material by –

E. Mechanical Testing of material (Sample Test Bar, finished product) by optical Brinell Hardness Testing Machine 0-3000 – 2 nos.
F. Impact testing of material (Casting Test Bar, finished product) by
1) Impact Testing Machine (Pendulum Type)
2) Automatic Broaching Machine

G. Proof test of metal bar by Electronic Extensometers / Mechanical Extensometers
H. Metallographic Analysis of final ductile iron sample and of finished product sample of ductile and gray iron by Microscope with

3) Hot Press Mounting Machine
I. Chemical Analysis (Active Clay, LOI, Total Clay, AFS No. VM of samples related with Green Sand Moulding Process (Green Moulding Sand, Chemical Bonded Sand – NO BAKE, Cold Box System Sand) and after that analysis of prepared sand with the equipments/lnstruments:
